Some treatment techniques may cause temporary discomfort, particularly when working around an already sensitive or painful area. Adrian will explain the proposed treatment, monitor your response and adjust the technique where necessary.
You should always tell Adrian if anything feels too uncomfortable or if you would like the treatment to stop.
Shockwave therapy usually produces a tapping or pulsing sensation and can feel uncomfortable over a sensitive area. The intensity can be adjusted according to your comfort and response.
Some people may experience temporary tenderness, aching, redness or mild bruising after treatment. Adrian will discuss suitability, expected sensations and relevant precautions before starting treatment.
Yes. Every treatment plan is based on an individual assessment of your symptoms, medical history, physical findings, lifestyle and goals.
Your plan may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, education and advice, with progress reviewed and treatment adapted where appropriate.
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Physiotherapy may be combined with therapeutic or sports massage, Western medical acupuncture, shockwave therapy or therapeutic ultrasound as part of an individual treatment plan.
